Iceland: Vacancy as Post-Doc Researcher in Data Fusion for Geothermal Reservoirs

Postdoctoral Researcher in Data Fusion for Geothermal Reservoir Characterization (Storf.is)

The position is for two years and the successful applicant will be based at Reykjavík University in Iceland. The application deadline is June 15, 2017.

The group for Operations Research and Subsurface Modelling (ORSM) is looking for a post-doctoral researcher to join the project Data Fusion for Geothermal Reservoirs.

The purpose of this project is to improve the accuracy of reservoir models by developing methods to constrain these models to data from different geophysical and geological surveys, and field production data.

Inversion algorithms and Bayesian inference techniques such as Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) will be used to construct an ensemble of geologically plausible models, that are consistent with available data for hydrothermal systems.
