Argentina:

Argentine Neuquen gets 5 bids for Domuyo geothermal studies - report (SeeNews Renewables)

Argentina's Neuquen province has received five offers for studies in the Domuyo geothermal area, energy news site Energia Estrategica reported Friday.

Neuquen wants to develop the field as part of a hydro-geothermal complex of at least 100 MW, including the Colo Michico and Los Guiones hydropower projects in the upper Neuquen basin. For Domuyo, the province needs a conceptual model of the geothermal field and estimates for commercial-scale power generation.

The five bidders are the consortia Teranov-Hidrotec, Adage Geothermal-Quantec Geoscience Argentina, Geotermia Andina-DTP Laboratorios-Consultora Demison, ENAL-Proinsa, and Grupo Minero Aconcagua.

Local investment promotion agency ADI-NQN has set a budget of ARS 6 million (USD 661,000/EUR 592,000) and nine months for completion of the services.
