35 MWe Menengai Geothermal Power Plant to be Ready End of 2015 (The Standard Digital News)

A geothermal power plant being developed by Nairobi based  TransCentury at Menengai is expected to start feeding the national electricity grid by end of next year. The firm said the 35 MWe power plant is part of its planned investments in high value infrastructure projects over the next three years. TransCentury is part of a consortium awarded the contract to build the geothermal power plant and a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has already been initialed.
