The Energy Development Corporation (EDC), the Philippines’s leading producer of geothermal power, has asked members of
Cotabato’s legislative council to reconsider their demand for a direct supply of electricity from the plant as this, they believe, would render their project "nonviable".
Instead, the company insists a power supply agreement with North Cotabato’s electric service provider, the Cotabato Electric Cooperative (Cotelco).
